Hello everyone.
I would just like to welcome you all and tell you a little about myself.　I have been a teacher for most of my working life including about 15　years in the Tokyo area.　As an English language instructor,　I have met many interesting　Japanese students and have had many memorable learning events. I really appreciate the hard work and dedication Japanese students bring to the classroom. I like to focus on the structure of English as a guide for students who are beginning their English language studies, and I enjoy coaching business people who want to upgrade their business English language skills. I find the work very rewarding.
I am looking forward to seeing you at ILC.

Hello, my name is Tony and I have been living in Japan for almost twenty years.
In ILC, I teach English for the Cambridge exams (FCE/CAE) and also business English.
I am very interested in other European languages, especially French, German and Italian, and I am a keen fan of opera and classical music. You may be surprised to know that I also fascinated by Japanese politics !
A good student-teacher relationship is essential in all language classes, and I like to think that I can help students focus on areas for improvement in their language skills. Each individual has his/her own needs in class, and I am happy to adjust the contents and style of my lessons in order to achieve the best possible results.
Having lived for fifteen years in or near Mito, Ibaraki (yes I love natto!) I feel it is also important for students to gain an insight into the cultural aspects of foreign countries. Whenever possible, I like to enable students to get a feel for the culture as well as the structure of the language.
I look forward to meeting you sometime at ILC.

Stuart Bowie was a Sales Manager for the publishing companies MacMillan and Thomson Learning, and owned his own business in Japan. (A Canadian themed restaurant in Shibuya.). In addition to being a veteran examiner for Cambridge University ( IELTS, BULATS ) , Stuart has been teaching has been teaching for over twenty years in Tokyo, Japan at the elementary, junior and senior high school, university, and business English levels. Business English experience includes executive coaching at some top global companies in Japan including Louis Vuitton, Amazon and Red Bull.

Comment: English is one of the best tools to help you go anywhere and do anything you want in the world.

I have been teaching English in Japan for about 7 years at various educational institutions. I have a flexible teaching style that combines students’ interests, needs and real-life issues to make lessons relevant and interesting whilst also achieving learning objectives. I take the time to listen to all of my students and make sure that they can participate and feel comfortable in lessons. I look forward to meeting new students who are motivated to practice and improve their English skills.
